Between 6-8 November 2019, an Australian Water Association delegation attended VietWater '19 as an opportunity to showcase the depth and breadth of Australia’s water expertise and technological innovations.The 2020 Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE) is an annual business to business oriented exhibition focused on smart city developments and solutions.

This is the fourth year the Victorian Government has supported the AWA delegation.

The Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Robyn Mudie and Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City, Julieanne Cowley both attended during the week and expressed their appreciation for the Victorian Government’s support.

Eight Victorian companies joined the delegation of 15 organisations. These were: Rubicon, Akvotek, ALS, AMS Water Metering, Hydroscience, Iota, Saltfree Desalination, and Servelec. Ruth Cockerton and Christopher Lee from Water and Catchments Group in DELWP received scholarships to attend and host a Young Professionals Workshop. Suzanne Knight attended and spoke at the launch of a water treatment plant built by Akvotek in the rural village of Ben Tre.
